The number one spot went to the Metropolitan area, which experienced a tremendous 155% increase – but keep in mind, this was just for the sale of one home.

More tellingly, Bel Air-Holmby Hills had a 153% increase in sales volume, with 41 sold listings in Q4 of 2016 compared to 28 sold listings in Q4 of 2015.

Montecito Heights landed in third place, with an 80% increase. Trailing in fourth and fifth were Highland Park (71%) and Marina del Rey (54%), respectively.

Not all neighborhoods, however, were on the rise. Ladera Heights, Malibu Beach, and Malibu, respectively, all experienced shrinking sales volume.
